Dialing internationally will be simple and straight forward. This could be done through a landline phone, or smartphone. The way you would handle the call is slightly different depending on the type of phone you are using. This is because the + sign can’t be denoted into most landline phones. International calls might have a calling rates which you are responsible for learning your rate before making the call. You would be able to reach your carrier by dialing 611 on either the cellular or landline phone. You will also be able to dial SIP Broker calls as well. The way you would do that will be easy enough, and simple to do with only dialing a 3 digit access code.
International Dialing
You must know the international telephone number. For example, in the UK, all domestic calls is dialed with a 0 being the first number. However, when dialing from outside of the UK, you would drop the first 0. This makes things a little more confusing as the person essentially has 2 telephone numbers. Most countries don’t have this design of a telephone network, so it is good to make sure before making an outgoing call.
To dial an international call with a cellular phone, you would press and hold 0 until you see a + sign. You would then dial the international format number to make a call. The only exception to this is if the international format telephone number is 15 digits long. This will be a 3 digit country code followed by a 12 digit domestic number. This is the longest that any telephone number can be, and with that in mind, the Kaldus telephone network will recognize a 15 digit telephone as an international number with the first 3 digits being the country code. Since the domestic and international number in Kaldus is the same, one could simply enter all of their domestic numbers as +883 followed by the domestic number for all of their contact entries. This will make it simpler for making calls back home when in another country.
On landline phones that has a number keypad, the way to make an international call will be to dial 00 as the access code. Therefore to dial +1 4125550256, you will dial 00 1 4125550256. If a number is too long, or complicated, one could use a Speed Dial feature to enter the phone number once, and after that, use the speed dial.
SIP Broker Dialing
In either the cellular or landline case – all SIP Broker calls will be dialed with a 011 preceding the telephone number. To learn more about SIP Broker calling, you can go to https://sipbroker.com. SIP Broker numbers will vary in how long a phone number is. This is all dependent on the SIP carrier for the company used. Ka-Tel assigns a SIP Address with all Kaldan Numbers, even with cellular phone lines. The number owner can disable receiving SIP calls by going into their web portal, or through the app. Kaldus will seek to acquire 883 as the SIP Broker Access code. This will make the number more uniformed, and easier to remember.
To dial a SIP Broker number, one will dial 011 followed by the SIP Broker carrier code, and finally, the SIP number. In example, to call the Echo test for Callcentric, one would dial 011 462 17771234567. 011 is the SIP Broker access code. 462 is the carrier code for Callcentric. 17771234567 is the Callcentric number you wish to call. If this is too much to remember, one could add a SIP Broker number into the speed dial with just prepending 011 before the SIP Broker number.
